Female Hockey

Spokane jr Chiefs | Teams & Programs

Overview

The mission of Spokane Youth Hockey's Female Hockey Program is to provide a supportive and inclusive environment for girls and female hockey players, addressing the unique challenges they face while fostering their growth, development, and love for the game. We strive to align our efforts with the goals of USA Hockey to grow female hockey and to ensure that all female players have access to the necessary resources and opportunities for their success on and off the ice.

Recognizing the hurdles faced by female players in a traditionally male-dominated sport, we aim to create a safe and encouraging space where girls can thrive, push boundaries, and reach their full potential. We understand that gender equality in hockey is not just an aspiration but a fundamental principle that must be championed at every level. By breaking down barriers, challenging stereotypes, and fostering a culture of respect, we aim to create an environment that empowers our female athletes to excel. We hope to create pathways for our athletes to achieve their dreams and aspirations, ensuring that talent and hard work are recognized, regardless of gender.

Through our unwavering dedication to empowering and inspiring female hockey players, we believe we can contribute to the overall growth of the sport and help shape a future where gender equality is the norm. We are committed to nurturing the next generation of strong, talented, and confident female athletes who will continue to break barriers and redefine what is possible in the world of hockey.

Together, we can make a difference and create a lasting legacy for girls and women in hockey in Spokane and beyond.
