Safe Sport Director
Bio
Nicky holds a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree in Interior Architecture as well as a Masters in Business Leadership. She currently is an Associate Principal and Shareholder at multidisciplinary design firm, BCRA, where she had the wonderful privilege of starting the Spokane location and helps run day-to-day operations as part of their corporate leadership team.
“The Spokane Jr. Chiefs was big part of my family’s integration into the community. Moving to Spokane in 2019, we didn't know a lot of people. Being part of this organization has not only helped my son, Dash grow as a player, but given our family the opportunity to develop meaningful relationships with the coaches, staff, and other families. I believe it's important to find a way to support these types of organizations through volunteering.”
“My hope (as Safe Sport Director) is to help with the outreach and education portions of Safe Sport. In the past I, like many others, didn't fully understand how much impact Safe Sport issues can have on players, a coach, a team and even on SAYHA as a whole. I would love to see more parents engaged with Safe Sport in a positive way and my hope is for players to comprehend how their choices impact all of the above.”
