8U Academy & 10U/12U Skills Night

Spokane Youth Hockey's 8U Academy and 10U/12U Skills Night programs offer an additional weeknight evening session of ice time where our athletes can continue practicing and playing with top-end caliber players.

Advanced skating, skills, reps, and small area games will be emphasized. The goal of these elevated, 24-week programs is to prepare our players to play at the next level for them the following season.

We chose to participate in 8U Academy to give our oldest son the opportunity to develop further as a hockey player and teammate before making the transition to 8U Advanced and then again to the 10U Rep program. We were pleased with the experience he had with smaller, more specialized practices and the additional opportunity for a competitive tournament. The opportunity also served as a way for us, as parents, to see if the Rep program may be a good fit for our family. Overall, he had fun, built relationships, and developed as a player. We look forward to our younger boys experiencing the 8U Academy as well.
